About as run-of-the-mill as you can get with a Kolsch, grainy and semisweet, light and smooth, hints of fruity lager esters mixing with modest floral hops on the finish. Better than plenty of American takes on the style, but still ultimately leads to the opinion, Eh, it’s just a kolsch.

0.5l bottle. Crystal clear golden body with a quickly collapsing white head. Aroma of bread, grains and hay. Taste of bread, grains, hay and a hint of floral hops. Light bodied and effervescent. As most kölsch beers, this one isn’t a flavor bomb either, but it’s clean and refreshing.

0.2 l on tap at ’Pinte’. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, grassy-spicy aroma of straw, grains and slightest hints of citrus. Slightly bitter, grassy-spicy and a little fruity taste of grains, straw and hints of citrus, followed by a short, rather bitter, grassy-spicy and slightly metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

Clear medium golden colour, large frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Sweet malt nose, grainy, grass. Fresh taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty. Light to medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste smooth bittersweet, malty on the palate, light spicy notes;, nice classic Kölsch.
