Cask@GBBF 2009. Opaque black, not much head. Tobacco and burned malts in the nose. Light palate. Some tobacco, toffee and ash in the flavor. A bit on sweet side. Ok winter session beer probably.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep ambery colour, small head. Aroma is lots of roast, caramel malts as well as some syrupy notes and mild ashes. Flavour is wood, caramel, syrup and some mild earthyness, ashes and also some tobaccolike notes.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is a somewhat weird sweet one with notes of prunes, while the flavor contains notes of prunes, smoke, and roasted malt, which doesn’t give the beer any dryness - the flavor is also somewhat weird, but I can’t figure out what it is.
