Are those artichokes on the poster?
What do you get when you combine Deep Purple, RED IPA and Comet hops? You get Fireball, our Red IPA and a nod to Deep Purple and their fourth album Fireball. Deep Purple and Comet hops were both extremely popular in the '70s, but things changed in the following decade - American beer scene was no longer interested in Comet hops, and a similar thing happened to Deep Purple's career. However, in the past ten years, the expansion of American craft market forced the hop growers to revitalize this forgotten variety, and a revolution began. Comet re-emerged to the scene and underwent a true renaissance. Wish we could say the same for Deep Purple. Oh well... :)
Fireball is Red IPA and we brew this beer only during fall/winter season. What makes Fireball different from our other IPA (C4) is a higher content of caramel malts and a more subtle hopping. Red IPAs are characterized by maltier notes compared to regular American IPAs, which makes them ideal for cold seasons.
Style: Red IPA
Hops: Magnum, Comet

On tap at Legend Rider’. Misty red-amber body with a big, slightly off white head. Light herbal, flowery aroma, getting more herbal by the minute in a rough way. Taste.... lovely soft, full maltiness serving superbly as the backbone, bearing a herbal, only slightly citric hoppiness, getting rough herbal-wise again, maquis? Lightly flowery. Nice, very nice, Comet won’t become my favorite hop any time soon, but this is impeccably executed for what it is.
