Salted caramel and coffee stout by a new Slovenian craft brewer I had never heard of before, again many thanks to Davor for the bottle. Medium thick, mousy, pale greyish beige, opening head leaving behind a flat pattern of 'islands' in the middle; black robe with ruddy-rusty red-brown hue. Aroma of unsugared black chocolate, clearly recognizable salted caramel indeed, salmiak, bayleaf, bladderwort, coffee grounds, black tea, black olives, burnt toast. Very restrained in sweetness, sourish note, soy sauce-like umami touch with indeed a salty edge (dried bladderwort impression); carbonation finely tingles, mouthfeel is oily and smooth. Rounded, mouth-filling walnutty and bitter-chocolatey maltiness, very roasty in the end, roasted chicory-like with lingering salmiak impressions from being combined with saltiness; leathery, glueish and bayleafy accents as well, together with a rooty, dry hop bitterness matching well with the whole. Alcohol remains nearly perfectly hidden. Delivers exactly what it promises and does so in a technically very correct way: this is indeed a salty stout, with the salt pinch not being too overpowering and accentuating the other flavours rather than dominating them - dosed like in a good meal, in other words. Very well made, all things considered.

Bottle. Pitch black, medium coffee cream head. malty nose with roastiness, cappuccino, cream with vanilla, chocolate and nuts and some more noticeable caramel - very fine combo. Taste follows - slight roast, medium bitterness, slight caramel sweet finish. Lasting aftertaste. A bit lighter body. Very fine.
