Barrel Aged Gose - Blend 2019
Mayahuel was the Aztec Juliet and from her tomb the first marvelous agave plant grow. The plant elixir was used to comfort her lover soul. It is called tequila and mezcal.
We went all the way to this ancient land and found some old mezcal and tequila barrels. We filled them with our gose and barrel aged it for one year. Now is the time to try her super powers.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of tequila, barnyard, grape skin, wood and juniper. Pours clear pale golden color with thin creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous, citrusy and grainy, follows by tannins, wood and faint tequila with rather dry mouthfeel. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Heavily barrel affected, but still very refreshing...

Bottle. Clear golden yellow, thin, nonlasting white head. Mild soury nose, vinous with some mild spices, and a whiff of tequila. Gentle sourness, just a bit puckery. Hint of bitterness, vinous and lasting aftertaste, a bit woody. Light, fresh, refreshing. Not too much tequila character to it, luckily. Nice one.
