31/1/23: BB 06-2019. Black, little bit of light brown head. Smells roasty, some cardboard is starting to show. Body is a bit on the thin side, but creamy enough. Taste is very bitter, bit too much. Roast, coffee, some burnt bread. Not terrible, but past prime.

At a tasting, thanks mom and dad, smallish bubbly head, opaque black color, , aroma of dark bread and roasted coffee and charred wood, strong flavorof charred wood and very bitter chocolate, exttremely bitter but still balanced by light but evident sweetness, tounge coating texture. Good and satifying.

A deep dark imperial stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of sweet chocolate malt with licorice notes, molasses, alcohol warmth, dark fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity sweet chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty character, molasses, soy sauce, very nice and smooth. Bottle from Bièropholie.

Zwart bier met schuim. Gedronken in Brussel, restaurant Des Spores. Smaak is bitter met rook en sporen van licht zuur fruit en koffie. Erg complex.

Bottle from World Beer Market. Emelisse Russian Imperial Stout 11% Viscous black with reddish highlights. Sweet maple, vanilla & cocoa. Thick oily viscousity. Very roasty, cocoa, coffee beans, and berries. Quite nice.
