Bottle from Booths, Media City. Copper coloured with a thin head. Has a light caramel sweetness in its nose, less so in its taste but it’s fairly smooth tasting and pleasant in the palate.

JDW Paramount, Manchester 25 Jan 13. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum med litt lacing. OK fruktaroma. Fersken. Smaken forsiktig men en aner litt frukt. Blir syrlig etter hver. Rosiner i avslutninga. I søtligste laget.

Thanks to Seanyfo for this bottle. Copper colour with huge beige head. The beer starts a bit watery, malty, not too intense. The mainpart is a bit weak, highly drinkable but lacks on aroma. Malty, a bit sweetish, but not more. The aftertaste is medium, malty-watery with a slightly bitter note, that harmonises nice, but is too light. --> nice beer, but sadly with a huge lack on aroma. --> 7/12/6/7

500ml bottle from Morrisons Ross-on-Wye. First thing that hits me is a lambic sweetness, merging with a malty quality that attempts to balance it out, but doesn’t quite. I swam with Elbow in Cannes once.

500ml bottle. Clear golden amber colour, thin white head leaving some lacing and malty, fruity, apple aroma. Sweet caramel malt & honey taste, slight fruity notes, light bitterness and a dry finish. Light to medium bodied, fair amount of carbonation. An OK bitter.

Cask at the Craven Arms, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is malty but a little weak. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, with malt and citrus notes. It’s a nice enough beer but lacks the complex flavours that I’m looking for. It’s more of an inoffensive real ale for me and a. introduction proper beer for those who have yet to see the light.
