22 oz. bottle, pours black with a huge tan head. Aroma brings out smoked malt, roast and some bittersweet cocoa. Flavour brings out loads of roasted malt, smoked malt, some licorice, and a little wood. Quite smoky and woody after you drink more. The carbonation is too high for the style, making it less than easy drinking. Pleasant enough flavours, but the carbonation pulls this down a few pegs. Good, but flawed.

75 cl. sehr dickflüssig, Schokolade, Röstmalz. Der Hauptteil ist tiefgehend, voll, intensiv. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang, intensiv, trocken. Röstmalz mit leichter Säure. Toll intensiv und gelungen! --> 14/12/13/14

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dirty brown head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with notes of bitter black chocolate and light green hops notes. Taste is a mix between medium roasted malt notes with some bitter black chocolate with light lactose notes and some light green hops notes at the end. Body is quite full with somewhat of a creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not the most extreme version of the style but still well done and quite enjoyable.

Bottle from Bierland, Hamburg. The cap had started to leak a little on the way back in the car, so I decided to drink this on my own right away instead of saving it for a tasting as intended. My bottle was 8.9 % ABV. In spite of the small leakage there is still carbonation and a great head --- Black with a huge, dense and lasting brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, dark sugar and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. Oily and smooth. 280712

Tapped: Literally black, big and very stable brownish head, solid sourish chocolatey-toasty nose, leather detectable; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, soft and creamy; fruity (raspberries) lingering roasty finish. Nice complex brew…

Bottle 330ml.Clear dark brown black colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, coffee, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Good body strength, smooth mouthfeel, strong flavor of roasted malt, some coffee; there is a moderate residual sweetness, and some hidden hopping; all is very well blended together. Therefore the final is very pleasant. Very good.
