Vinternarren är en härligt smakrik och fyllig vintervärmare. Den passar perfekt ihop med julmaten och som sällskapsdryck, gärna tillsammans med mörkare chokladsorter och praliner. Säsongsvara!

200ml draught as Julnarren at Bishops Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm. This is a really good, traditional beer for the Yuletide. The pour reveals a deep rusty brown body covered by a low-level, beige foam. A kind of woody aroma with delicate notes of sweetness from glacier mints. Fine balance in taste with roasted dark malts, mints, almond and bitter spicies. Dry and smooth bitter ending. Full bodied. I would have loved it even more a month ago - during the xmas season (Thanks to Raimo at the brewery for informing me about the similarity between Vinternarren and Julnarren) (25.01.2008).

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Malty, sweetish nose with caramel and a slight hint of smoke. Full bodied and malty taste with cereal and dried fuit, slightly burnt. Well balanced with spicy undertones. Agree with omhper, flawless and very good but not much soul.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, firm head, Aroma of caramel and hay. Sweet and roasty. Solidly malty with clean rounded mouthfeel and notes of chocolate. Chewy with near full body with warming qualities. Finishes with some herbal spice and medium bitterness. Another flawless beer from Hantverksbryggeriet. Their beer are so perfect however that they seem to lack real soul.
