Puur natuurlijke klaring zonder additieven. Volledig vegan.

Bottle from Fountainhall Wines, Aberdeen. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a small, frothy off - white head. The aroma is toasty malts, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, dull fruity sourness, touch of jam, liquorice allsorts, touch of nuttiness and coffee beans. The taste is dryish upfront, slightly sour/tart initially, raisin, sultana, dried figs, cherry, toasted fruit cake, malt loaf, cacao nibs, coffee beans, walnut, earthy, warming spice, kick of booze and some dried orange. Finish is warming, dry and toasty. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Quite a unique character to this. Nice dept of flavour. Interesting.

Bottle @ home. Unclear amber body under a moderate sized tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt and caramel. Taste is sweet malt, chocolate, caramel and hint of bitter coffee. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden. This one does not remind me at all of a Quadruple, but as an Imperial Brown ale this is damn god.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy dark brown, small, off-white head. Aroma of dried red apple, red grape, prune, pear, cognac, liquorice, wood, toffee. Taste has sweet raisin, prune & red apple over a toffee-ish malt base with bitter notes of spices & orange peel. Herbal hoppy finish, slightly grapefruity, spicy, woody; warming cognac-like alcohol in the very end. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Must have been an older bottle; matured quite nicely.

Bottle at tasting shared with Drebus and Joes. Darker reddish color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, some roast, malty bitter, bitter lingering finish. Hmm odd quadrupel tbh.

Bruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van karamel, wat rozijnen, gedroogd fruit en een vleug honing. Daar tussen is een heel zacht zuurtje te ontdekken die het geheel afmaakt.
