Can at home, from HOTM online, 28/12/20. Black with a handsome tan covering that dissipates to a swirl and edgework over time. Nose is dark malts, mellow roast, spice, liquorice, charr, burnt toffee, trace of campfire. Taste comprises dark malts, hint of cacao, treacle toffee, light spice, smoked flavours, light campfire, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid flavoursome stout with a light smoky twist.

Silky and delicious. Extremely happy to finally try some beers from this brewery and seemed suiting to make the first one an old Pretty Things offering.

Smells strong but taste smooth! Light smoke, lots of maltiness, caramel. Good stuff. Schwartz feel even.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from All Good Beer HD. Pours clear black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Moderately sweet, silky, nice creamy chocolate, soft smokey burnt ham vibes, relaxed roast, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more cocoa, soft roast, background smoke, light earth. Very tasty stuff, really drinkable.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Wow, this is a perfectly timed beer. It’s pissing down outside and blowing a gale. Then this is smoky and sweet. Notes of dark chocolate malt and some dried peel. Touch of milky coffee. Dried fruit. Taste is silky sweet, with a soft, smoky edge. Smooth mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Smoky sweetness to finish. Just fantastic.
