Clear orange amber colour, rather small but fluffy white head. Malty aroma, spices and some fruits. Sweetish flavour, rather thin body, quite fruity, elderberry, malts and some spices. OK and refreshing but a bit lightweight. (draught @ café In De Blaauwe Hand, Nijmegen)

1L bottle bravely hauled to Denmark for me, by Fiona. Thanks a lot!. clear golden, small smooth white head. pretty boring aroma, mild, spices and malts and some bitterhops. flavor is spicy, malty, bitterhoppy, faint sweetness. reminds me a little bit of european strong, but with a little more finesse. not a gourmet beer though.

Bottle 100 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a deep golden with a rough white head - tiny impurities. A little fruit in the nose. Medium body, fruit and a little ashes and yeast - nothing all that impressive really. Ends fairly dry. Not offensive in any way - just fails to impress. 090710

Pale orange colour, some UFO's, thin white head, lacey. Nose: oups - dishwater. Some overpowering smell of a herb, no idea which one. Valerian leaves/cat's pee as well. Taste is not that bad, faint spicey. Coriander, citrus (mandarinePEEL) and that other spice (galanga root, maybe?) Medium filled, some faint oily mouthfeel (~root spices). Kind of one-dimensional, heavy on the spices. But I really cannot get any more negative without being dishonest. It has its merits.

Dutch ratebeer meeting. Hazy orange coloured, large white head. Aroma is spicy, cinnamon, pepper, mandarin. Sweet taste, mandarin again, sirupy texture. Bit too spicy for me.
