440ml can from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 14/06/21, BBE 20/10/21. I would have thought 330ml would be a better measurement for a 14% beer but that might just be me. Not going to finish this tonight. Pours blacks with small tanned head, circular retention. Aroma of chocolate liqueur, roasted malts, coffee; nice if a bit predictable. Taste is roasty and bitter with coffee coming through stronger in the flavour. This is offset with a moreish chocolate smoothness, a touch of caramel and a berry fruity tang. Certainly more going on in the flavour. A slight alcohol note on the way down but it hides the ABV very well overall. Moderate to full body and not too thick, nice smoothness. After having a poor imperial stout from this brewery I was apprehensive but this is a very good beer.

Something surprisingly oldschool and traditional from these lactose kings. Heavy, super roasty and salty, but surprisingly easy considering the flavour intensity. Maybe a tad watery body, but the flavour makes up for it.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of creamy chocolate, brownies, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with a little nuttiness, and spiciness from the ABV which otherwise does not show. Great stuff showcasing a massive Porter/stout without being overly sweet

Can. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Dark chocolate liqueur malts, boozy and a touch thin. Spicy warmth. Touch of ripe fruits. Smooth and semi dry finish. Bitterish chocolate syrup llinger. Not a huge amount of sophistication here but the boozy chocolate liqueur vibe is quite entertaining.

Can, 14%. Distinct coffee aroma. Black colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour is sweetish with a good coffee note. Creamy mouthfeel. Ashy and papery aftertaste. Late distinct bitterness and warning alcohol. Good coffee aftertaste.

0,44l can at home shared by Stefan, big thanks. BB 20.10.2021. black color, small coffee colored head. smells earthy, light smoke, nutty, hazelnut, spices, marzipan, nice rather subtle smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes earthy, nutty, hazelnuts, marizpan spices, some soy sauce, peppery. finishes roasty bitter with notes of nuts, spices and some soy sauce. not bad, not that great, on the boozy side, not that smooth, lacks complexity, good but expected more.

Can. Chose this amongst available beers to try from this brewery because it was the only one without cake in it, before realizing it was quite so strong. Very dark brown with a fading tan head. Aroma of fudge, mocha, some pine and spices. Not obviously boozy. More so upon a taste though -- it's not hot but under the almost ingratiating silky mocha there's a booming warmth. Moderate bitterness is enough to close things up at the end. Feels a bit like the fact that it handles its strength with some aplomb is the only justification for its strength. Pretty good though.
