Clear, golden color and a nice white head. Restrained nose, faint fruity, a little herbal. Nice old school IPA. Nice bitterness, fruity-floral hoppy finish.

Clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have light notes of pineapple. Not a strong or intense IPA but pleasantly clean, fresh and easy to drink.

44cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Iets troebelgeel-oranje kleur, witte kraag. Bubblegum, vanille, kokos, ananas, licht aards, zoetig, zachte bitter. Ik hou hier wel van maar het is wel erg veilig allemaal. Instap-IPA.

27/I/21 - 44cl can @ ElManana’s place, BB: VI/2021 (2021-85) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the can!

Clear orange beer, small creamy irregular off-white to yellowish head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely stuff, pretty fruity, oranges, tropical fruits, some mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly soapy, fruity, very nice, soft bitterness, oranges, lovely. Aftertaste: very fruity, oranges, slightly malty, lovely stuff. Really liked this one!

BB 06/2021, 440ml can bought at La Cave à Bières d'Etre Gourmet; Single hop Talus IPA brewed with Golden Promise, Haver and Cara Malts, yeast WLP 013.

APPEARANCE: golden, slightly orange like color with mild chill haze; quickly falling almost snow white head of tiny bubbles, lasting ring on the side of the glass, decent lacing

AROMA: moderate combo of exotic fruits and flower perfume, medium light fruit sweetness of lychee & mango in the foreground, hints of melon, citrus zest, white peach and sweet herbs in the back; very low bready and biscuity malt backbone which is appropriate for the style; very mild suggestions on sweet resins and subtle yeast on the edges, mild earthy and grassy presence

TASTE: smooth and slightly creamy carbonation, light oily mouthfeel, medium light to medium body, slick but also crisp and highly drinkable; moderate amount of fruity sweetness paired with blossoms, hints of sweet perfume; notes of lychee, mild strawberries, lemon candy and slickness of papaya; light malty support that doesn't interfere with the Talus hop; low bitterness of citrus zest, grass and spice; subtle hints of sweet onions; moderate dryness with lingering slickness (buttery papaya) and exotic fruit notes

OVERALL: at first kind of restrained but opens up after some time; slightly on sweeter side and restrained bitterness so that Talus hop can shine through;very drinkable and refreshing, I could drink liters of that exotic nectar

Can. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has a pleasing sharp minerally crispness. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Some almost candyish piney tropical fruits. Mild mild sherbet. The pine is strong in this one. Not quite minty but on the way. Crisp minerally finish. Very clean and crisp and with a nice juicy candy tropical fruits. Crisp, flavoursome and very drinkable.

44 cl. can shared with Hilde @ home, bought @ Una Mas, Nieuwegein. Light hazy light amber with a thin white head. Citrus aroma with some moderate tropical fruit and pine. Bittersweet taste with a bitter finish. Shame about the low carbonation, some more CO2 would make it more lively and less one-dimensional I think. Overall a decent IPA with, for me at least, a new hop I've never heard about.

IPA by Kees, still one of Holland's foremost brewers; can from Bierhalle Deconinck. Egg-white, mousy, thinnish and opening 'ring' for a head with a veil in the middle, lightly hazy deep golden robe ('old gold'), shifting to a more orangey and misty appearance later on as more of the can is emptied into the glass; light visible sparkling. Aroma of tangerine, orange blossom, raspberry coulis, stale lime juice, cut flowers, roses, strawberry jam, damp hay, soap. Sweetish onset, clean with vague strawberry and mango hints as well as something peachy, medium carbonated with smooth-edged, slick body; bread crumb-like maltiness, somewhat powdery in the end, with increasingly aromatic hop effects: a bit tropical (mango) but primarily citrusy and blossomy, with a spicy bitterness in the end, though gently so - and lasting only for a brief moment (and in that sense failing a bit to lend 'body' to the finish, alas). With just a bit more hop bitterness, this would have been a more characterful 'forest leprechaun', but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Can. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, citrus, little mango and peach. Taste has bitter orange, fresh citrus, grapefruit, bitter peach, soft creamy malt and a hoppy finish. First talus beer I like.
