Panda, massive thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Smooth and viscous palate, modest fine carbonation but commensurate with the style and hefty abv. Smooth rich chocolate malts, chocolate fudge and chocolate cake. Fruity chocolate. Smooth bourbon, rich and fruity. No heat and no alcohol spice. Smooth finish. Hugely drinkable, not over sweet and just very easy to quaff. Dangerous stuff.

2022 bottle drunk 12/27/24.
Clear, very dark. Small, tan head.
Roast, char, fudge ....smells like light tootsie-lactose. Not boozey. Lots of dark fruit. Spicy rye and almost a smokey barrel character. But not super compelling.
Sweet, syrupy, fudgey, very liquid tootsie roll. Whiskey is lightly spicy, mellow, not all that characterful. It does dry out a bit in the finish but it's more of an alcohol dryness than a proper attenuation. Kinda grows on you and the soft, rich, syrupy body is comforting, but yeah...just a bit too messy and sweet. Some apparent alcohol isn't welcome, either.

Keg at Craft Metropolis, Penge, 25/10/24. Black with a khaki cap that transforms into a map of the UK for a few minutes ... I fingered Wales away ... Ha! Nose is rich roast, molasses, vanilla, barrel tones, chocolate. Taste comprises toffee fudge, rye barrel, caramel, spice, dark malts, light roast, brown sugar melt, chocolate pot. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced warming boost. Solid BA impy.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is alcohol, liquorice, some mild toasted tones with mocca and syrup. Flavour is alcohol, some liquorice, toffee, some syrup and mocca tones with quite a burning finish, and very warming feel all the way down to the stomach.

10 November 2023. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Thanks to tderoeck for sharing today's beers - cheers to so many more!
Black. Green apple squared (acetaldehyde), pear, bourbon, vanilla, wet wood, milk chocolate. Sweet green apple, date, fudge, chocolate sauce. Soft peppery hops, sweet dark fruits, wood, bourbon warmth. Creamy & sticky. Cute name but this is a bit too much.

Imperial stout from the state of Michigan, United States, sampled at BCBF. No head whatsoever, ink black robe. Aroma of cola (!), fudge, milk chocolate or chocolate milk, vanilla, blackberry juice, brown rum, nougat, bourbon. Extremely sweet onset – (Pepsi) cola again, with caramel-coated raisins perhaps, softly tingling fizz in spite of the lack of head, smooth but full body, oddly somewhat less sticky than expected based on that cola-like sweetness, probably due to that souring, minerally fizz underneath it all; ‘Koetjesreep’, fudge and cappuccino flavours join in as well as, in the end, warming brown rum-like alcohol (peppery in the throat), but that weird cola sweetness remains dominant. Imperial stout has undergone a strong evolution towards sweetness (from its original bitterness) in the past decade or two and I guess many American consumers have gotten used to that, especially the younger craft beer geeks, but this is ridiculously sweet even for a pastry stout, rendering it a bit one-dimensional…

Pours black, no real head. Scent is soy, caramelly, roasty. Taste is sharp, roasty, bit bitter., boozy. Rather sweet. OK, not as extremely good as some of their others, but still quite damn nice indeed !
