Bottle [12 months aged on Red wine says the label] at home shared with Laura. Dark red-brown color, deep red hue coming through, medium sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, heavy red wine influence, wood, tart notes, cherries somehow, cherry stone. Not really my thing but it does have the red wine barrel influence that it should have according to the label.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small beige bead. Aroma reveals a nice red wine character, with gentle tannins, dark dried fruits, and gentle esters. Flavour is very vinous and tannic, which is extremely well-suited to the base beer and dries out some of the sweetness that was a bit too overly present. The red wine tannins really take centre stage and combine well with gentle ester and dark dried fruits. Really nicely done.

Roodbruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is warm en krachtig en licht fris fruitig met duidelijk iets van rode wijn, wat rode bessen en wat pruimen. Heel goed.

Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet Webshop, Grez Doiceau, Belgium and consumed at home Thursday 15th April 2021 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. I had Egg, Beans and Chips for tea tonight. Pours dark brown in colour, with a decent sized creamy textured head. Malt, red wine, dried fruits and molasses on the nose oh.. and caramel. The aforementioned also show up in the mouth, it's got a thick mouthfeel, a little beef stock, slight aged quality, rich, this is an impressive beer.

Small cream-coloured head over cola-coloured beer, glass-sticking pearling. Alcohol, fusels, wood, brown candi sugar, red wine, vinous. Smelling rather sweet. Liquorice, I jap /I; sweet. Alcohol very obvious, strengthening even more the sweetness. Bit cheesy (blue cheese). Again vinous with blue berry notes. Feeling thin for its ABV. Slick, oily, low carbonation. Certainly not bad, but isn't one entitled to expect more depth in such a beer, heavy and well-lagered? Thanks to Stef!
