Pint at the Rising Sun in Smithfield. What used to be a great pub is now a shocker. They ran out of glasses! Anyway, managed to get a pint of this before they did. It's a stout with nothing bad or particularly good and there are many better ones out there.

Не зашёл стаут. Вроде классика Английсская, сухость кофе, горчинка шоколада, даже небольшая сливочность. Но какая то какашка просачивается в конце. Кароче небольшой облом.

Tap at Anchor tap at London Bridge. Nearly opaque dark brown pour. Creamy tan head. Roasted malt nose hints at licorice. Flavor is dry and roasty. A hint of chocolate and treacle. Smooth and drinkable for the style.

On tap at Boot, Chester. Difficult to tell in the dimpsy light, but I think it poured almost black with a small cream head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly roasted malts with some hints of coffee. In the mouth it is bitter sweet with flavours of roasted malts, dark fruits and berries. Plus traces of coal, ash and liquorice leading to a dry and quite bitter finish. Not at all bad but it was served way too cold, so may require a rerate.

Draft @ Earl of Lonsdale, London. Black featuring a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and diacetyl. Taste of roasted malts, some dark chocolate, butter and espresso. Dry finish. Roasty bitterness. Low carbonation. Simple but very nice and easy drinking.

On tap in 🇬🇧. Great creamy beginning. Moderate bitter, fruity with a great roasted back. Mild creamy, fruity with a fantastic mild roasted dry finish. Bitter roasted, nice grainy, fruity parts. Well balanced stout!

On tap at The Gazebo. Pours a clear amber brown with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has earthy grain and some dark roast with a hint of bitter chocolate underlying. Flavor has a good amount of roast and dark grains with a slight earthiness and a hint of bitter chocolate backing.
