It’s hard to taste difference between Dommelsch and water. This beer is too sweet, too thin and not even worthy of the time you spend drinking it.

30cl Bottle brought back from a mission in Holland: best before May 2013, poured into a Duvel glass on 10 Dec 2012. It was better than the Hertog Jan beer I had next, but it didn’t have to rty hard! Typical Pilsner look: golden, clear and with a white head that couldn’t wait to leave. Grainy nose with a crisp and semi-sweet taste. Nothing sets it apart from thousands of simular Pilsner/Lagers around the world. Refreshing and non-taxing on the taste buds, un-offensive and ideal to quench your thirst after a days graft: but not a beer the chase after.

Can post-Borefts Day 1, Utrecht Basecamp. I provided this can. Pours clear, pale gold with a moderate, white foam head. Pale, grainy malt nose with light sugar notes. Medium sweet flavor with subtle cardboard, hay, light sugar, mild bitter straw. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly crisp on the finish with light dry biscuits, mild sugar, light bitter hay. A solid supermarket lager. Definitely one of only a few styles of beer I would be happy to drink after a day of ’complex’ (high ABV) beers like those at Borefts. Good one.

33cl can, drank in the lounge at Tivoli, Utrecht.

can at a works ’borrel’. It was the on;y beer available. I know I’m going to burn in hell for this but it was the only choice ;-) It was from a can. Pretty crap mass produced lager.
