Cask at GBBF 2014. Clear, confident and robust mid-gold with a thin loose white head. White grape, apple and wood shavings in the aroma. Juicy. Sweetness is quickly overcome by biter hop flavour. A fairly bitter note in the finish along with a slight buttery note that I can’t get to terms with. Full body. This is good, but not one of the top beers I’ve had at the festival. Surprised this is a medal winner with such stiff competition.

Cask - Floral grapefruit hops. Clear gold with a frothy white head. Dank and cardboard hops. Too bad the flavour doesn’t coin side with the great nose and appearance.

Bottle from Beers of Europe [270414]
Pale blonde, slight haze, thin white head
Aroma - Citrus hops, soft light sweet hop resins, nice light sweet pale malt background, fresh floral citrus hop nose
Taste as aroma, nice fresh zesty citrus, soft floral notes, always like these light sweet pale malts in hoppy beers, some pine, really nice sharp zest
Palate - soft carb, light to medium body, good bitter sweet balance, nice zesty fresh palate. Finish as main flavour, crisp and clean.
Overall - Really good beer, moreish and quaffable
