Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear golden. Aroma of stale malt, skunky hops and cardboard. Flavor has a bit of sweetish stale dusty malt, and some bitterish skunky hops. Rather light-bodied.

Cask at the Pembury Tavern, Hackney, during the February Festival 2011. Pours clear, pure gold with no head. Citrusy hops in the nose, notes of tangerine, mandarin orange, light honey. Mild straw notes in the flavour, medium sweetness, pale bread, lots of citrusy sugars and light bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with strong notes of mandarin orange and tangerine. Pretty good stuff. (February 2011, score: 3.8)
