Soft, fruity, full of huge amounts of heavenly mosaic aroma, including ripe peaches, mango and apricot, CARMEN is Carnival's signature session pale ale. We developed a super soft water profile, used an oat and wheat heavy malt bill, and finished with English ale yeast and huge amounts of Mosaic in the dry hop once fermentation ended.

Cask-conditioned at the Three legged Mare, York, 24 September 2024. Golden in colour and crystal clear, with a slight, white, head. Floral hops, gooseberry, tangerine and green herb character, light maltiness and a dryish finish. An enjoyable beer that was a good showcase for Mosaic.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A bright pale amber pour with a frothy white head; aroma of orange; chewy, fruity malt body with an orange taste; and a biscuity orange finish. A pleasantly fruity pale ale.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a cloudy yellow with a bubble white head. Aroma is mosaic hops, grain. Taste is hoppy, mosaic, citrus, fruity, some nice grain, but doesn't take away from the hops.
