Das Bier fängt vollmundig an, herbe, getreidige und malzige Aromen sind ungefähr gleich stark zu erkennen. Schade ist, das der Abgang dagegen recht wässrig ist. Vorher übernimmt das malzige Aroma die Oberhand und lässt nur noch ein wenig kräftiges hopfiges Aroma durch. Das süffige Bier gefällt durch die ausbalancierten Aromen, der Abgang wirkt dagegen zu lasch im Vergleich zum Mittelteil. Test vom 20.7.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,13,9,9,12 - 11,40

(bottle) Slightly hazy pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Aroma of floral hops with a moderate malty, grainy sweetness. Bittersweet flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy taste, dry and quite bitter but also a bit sharp yeasty finish with floral hops.

Bottle: Hazy, pale golden coloured, thin foamy head, worty aroma with a big touch of floral hoppiness; robust bitter-sweet (braedy) flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering, aromatic bitter-sweet finish. Very rich, classy Pils... P.S. It seems to be an obvious truth, that the older version of this Pils, which was tested by my esteemed co-raters, was absolutely bad...! This 2006 version of Riedenburger Pils is completely different, it improved very much !
