To celebrate winning the People's Choice Award at the 3 Counties Cider Festival 2019 we decided to use 3 Counties cider apples in our Dry Ice Cyder! With a traditional cider flavour, Dry Ice is smooth, zesty and bittersharp, leaving a complex finish.

330ml draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. My first Ice Cider and in truth I'm not really sure how the process differs in production. Need to go on a cidery tour! Pours clear gold, no head, still. Aroma has a denser apple aroma compared to most ciders I've tried, sweet, slightly tart but all quite mellow. Taste is sweet apple, very smooth slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Some citric, apple peel, and tropical notes. Interesting, quite like it.

Cider Freak Day, Sunday 3rd April 2022. I hosted a cider tasting with my good lady, or son, his girlfriend and my sister-in-law (who didn't really join in much). This was the third offering, a litre bottled by LowCostBeer from a box. We all struggled with this and most went down the drain, I managed more than the rest but it wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped for my first Ice Cider.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a clear with a light yellow tint, bubble white head. Aroma is apple, other fruits, sweetness. Taste is fruity, citrus meets apples, zesty, some dryness.

Bottle sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, thin white rim, and aroma of apple sauce, some caramel and honey notes. Taste is sweet and then tart, tangy apple, caramel, some skin, citric, zesty, grapefruit hint and astringent bittersharp notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish. Quite drinkable.

14/7/2020. Bottle bought direct from the cidery. Pours clear pale copper gold with minimal head. Aroma is rich apple, touch of caramel and citrus, with slight honey and yeasty notes. Moderate sweetness and tartness. A little thin and watery, with soft to flat carbonation. Aroma was the high point, definitely one that grew on me, would have liked a bit more body.

500ml bottle, thanks Grumbo for this one! Lightly hazed gold appearance. Sweet, desert-focussed nose. Taste sees intense rich sweet fruit, good clarity coming through, soft orchard must. Very good. And as usual all the Danish give another cider a low rating.

ABV: 7.3%. Clear light to medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is light to moderate apple, apple juice, light champagne yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, tart apple, sugary, barnyard, rich apple juice. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Bottle @ Corona Højbjerg tasting. No head. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are little apples, fruits, notes of sugar, champagne and has a light warming finish.
