[50cl bottle from Roys of Wroxham.] A cloudy reddish amber pour with heavy sediment and a loose cream coloured head; sour aromatic aroma; lots of floral hops giving an unpleasant soapy texture; and a yeasty finish. Not great, perhaps a duff bottle.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Appearance - cloudy amber to red. White head. A bit of yeastiness at the end of the pour. Nose - dried orange and cake. Taste - more fruitcake. A touch of citrus at the back. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Decent bitterness on the finish. Overall - this is more of an ESB. Pretty good.

22/4/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours clear amber with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, slightly earthy and fruity, with caramel and a touch of caramac. Quite sweet, light bitterness. Quite watery. Slightly nutty and metallic edge develops. Bit disappointed with this one.

Bottle from 3@3, Ely, drunk at home. Pours amber/golden brown. Opaque, cloudy. Not much head at all. Lots and lots of sediment. Weird bouquet: bubblegum, caramel malt, leather, baby wipes, overripe tropical fruit, cola nut. Tastes a lot better than it smells. Sweet and malty, slightly fruity, but then there’s a bitter-ish funky note near the finish. Cola and hazelnut in the aftertaste. A mess, no two ways about it. But it’s borderline drinkable (although I’m not sure I’d want another one anytime soon).
