Cask (handpump) @ #MBCF20, [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2020 ], Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill St, Petersfield, M2 3GX Manchester, Great Manchester, England.

[ As Hawkshead Black Lager ].
ABV: 4.5%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20200124]

Cask at GBBF Winter: Poured a black with off white head. Aroma is a bit malty. Taste is roasted malts light perfume.

Third by cask, on the second day of GBBF Winter 2020, Sonnet Bar. Shared with Finn. Off-white head, near-black in the glass, spotty lacing. Roasted aromas, mid-sweet, moderate. Mid-sweet liquorice flavours. Roasted malty finish. Fair enough. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Cask @ GBBF Winter, Birmingham. Almost black with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 080220

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear dark ruby brown with a bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of hops, chocolate, toffee and malt. Moderate sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ GBBF, Birmingham. Small head with short duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, hops and has a nice roasty finish.

På GBBF Winter 2020 i Birmingham. Delt med Rune. Ultramørkebrun/svart. Skumring. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Smaken kjeks & sjokolade. Tørr, lett røstet avslutning.

Keg at the 2020 Manchester Beer Festival. Brown pour with a beige head. Lots of caramel, toffee and dried fruit in the nose. Toffee, dried fruit and toffee apple in the flavour.
