bottle - Pours deep gold and clear with a one finger slow fading head that laces well. The aroma is of floral hops, some grainy malt, and a hint of citrus. The flavor is moderately hopped with enough pale malt to balance it out. The result is a good, quaffable beer.

Pours a very pale amber into a shaker. Sickly white head. Alcohol and caramel aromas. Bitter out of the gate. No malt balance. Almost painful, sour astringency.

Deep gold colored body with a tall, sticky white head. Caramel malt aroma. Light hops. The initial malt sweetness quickly gives way to a soft, yet firm hop bitterness that provides a soft, dry, hop finish.

Corn and chemicals. Yellow color, harsh alcohol on the palate. Pretty bad.

Looks really nice in the sunlight. Dark straw with low head. Aroma of herbal hop, lots of rich pale malts (biscuit) and a little bit of peppery alcohol. Firm body - well balanced mix of herbal, earthy hops, biscuity/baguette malts and peppery alcohol. Very well crafted.

500ml bomber bottle. Cloudy golden-tan color. 8 hop varieties in a lager? Interesting, but what the hell, this is 2008. The hops definitely dominate, but in a fairly enjoyable way. Pretty much what every sub-standard Eastern European strong lager could only dream of being. Strong in alcohol, relatively "classic" lager taste, but with a hop and malt bill that blows them out of the water. Good stuff.

Bomber from the Coop in Davis. Orange tinged amber color with a minimal white head. Pale malt aroma rather dominated by mostly grassy hop. Lots of hop. Medium body with very mild carbonation. There is malt sugar, but there is indeed a lot of hop. It’s just hard to pin down any particular type. I’m guessing grassy, citrus and resin. Finish is neither sweet nor bitter. The sugars are tastable, but there is a lot of hop bitter. Maybe this is balanced? Certainly unusual.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse. Amber color with a medium quickly disappearing head. Nice floral, pine hop aroma with sweetness to balance. Taste is a slightly metallic take on the same. Medium body. Not bad.

Pours clear golden with white head. Grassy aroma. Flavor is slightly bitter and malty with some alcohol and a metallic taste. Body is pretty full for a lager. Moderate carbonation. An OK lager.
