Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy brown with no head. The aroma is spice, maple, and dark fruits. Medium mouth with sweet potato, brown sugar, caramel and maple, odd but good.

75cl bottle pours with a murky amber body that has some ruby red hues and supports a brief tan head. The aroma offers up smooth sweetness, molasses and a thin soft vinegar note. The taste achieves a pleasing balance of smooth slick molasses and syrupy prunes and lightly earth sweetness mixing with soft smooth vinegar and light sugar sweetened soured citrus sort of sensation. This is dangerously drinkable with this kind of even balance. Nice!

Bottle with thanks to dbuckingham! Pours clear hazel ruby with a small beige head and some lacing. Aroma is caramel, yam, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), brown sugar. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, no real bitterness, little acid. Medium body, low carbonation. A bit hot. Just not my thing, but definitely an improvement over the regular (either due to Brett or age, not sure.). I will say that neither I nor my drinking buddy got much Brett influence from the bottle. Maybe it died off a couple years ago.

Bottle at the taproom. Slightly hazy, amber in color, more or less headless. Mostly sweetish on the nose, some alcohol and maple syrup. Lightly spiced too. Warming on the palate, full bodied and flat. Lasting flavor with maple syrup, caramel and a touch of spices and tropical fruits. A bit boring this one. 130811

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of thagr81_us. Pours an almost clear nutty brown with a small off-white head. Estery and caramellish aroma - I don’t really pick up any Brett character though. Rich body, lowish carbonation, very thick and distinct maple syrup flavours, quite sophisticated but gets a little sticky. 250113
