Cask at The Colmore, Brum. Aroma certainly has chocolate and fudge. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. A bitter streak - cacao and coffee. Rich. A fudge sweetness flits in and out. Sour berries add a peripheral appearance. Medium bodied. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Punchy but certainly fudge brownie-esque.

Calderdale Beer Festival 2019, Halifax. Black with dense caramel and its fudge stated. There’s some decent light roasted notes behind an obvious strength, and some wood cask maturity too as this was a special version.

Cask, kindly shared by ratebeer friends at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Coast to Coast Bar. Deep black in the glass, naked surface, dotted spots on the glassware. Nutty chocolate taste added by biscuit. Lingering malty sweetness to the aftertaste. Fine depth. Quite enjoying. (Third day of the festival 24.01.2020).

30/5/2018. Cask at the Newcastle Tap. What a way to see in the #100 for North Yorkshire! Pours close to black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma of rich chocolate, fudge brownie, light nut, creamy milk chocolate, vanilla and light roasting. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, very soft carbonation. Very good!
