Fun fact: Black strap is what miners called the oil they used in their oil lamps. It's also what they later referred to as black coffee. Which makes us believe miners drank really gross coffee.

keg at the brewery... dark black.. thin tan lacing soft sweet chocolate Roast malts nose... dark rich chocolate roast malts.. big coffee roast malts... dark malts.. dark rich coffee malts

Draft: Poured a black with light brown head. Aroma is chocolate and roast. Taste is sweet milky chocolate and roasted malts.

Draft at the brewery. Pours black color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malt and coffee. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee, and sweet milk chocolate. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Tap with some ratebeerians. Dark cocoa pour. Nose is coffee and chocolate lighter bodied. Semi sweet lighter bodied. Taste of chocolate and milky coffee. Some bitters.
