On tap at Sideward, pours a deep dark brown/black with a small beige head. Aroma is dry and laid back, with toasted malt and gentle earthiness. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt, earthiness, and a tiny hint of cocoa. Not much going on but it's pleasantly made. Alright.

Dark brown. Not much head. Some dark sugars on the nose but it's drier on the palate. Light toast and chocolate, moderate bitterness.

16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a pitch black color with a tight beige head and great retention. Lots of scattered lacing. Dark malt and molasses aroma. Dark roasted malt and nutty flavor with a hint of dark chocolate. Like a porter mixed with a brown ale. Very smooth and clean. Medium+ body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. Well done.

Tap at brewery. Pour more brown than most porters like a milky brown ale. Nose is milk chocolate and cola. Tastes the same, some roasted malt and coffee milk (RI folk know what i speak of). Smooth creamy palate. Mild bitters.
