Black with a thin, creamy, beige head. Chocolate and sherry aroma with a splash of soy sauce on top. Taste is bitter but rich, slightly salty, with a strong roasted tone. Finishes bitter with increasing tartness and slightly vinous. Body to the full side of medium, very mild carbonation. A pleasant, slow-sipper.

Tan collar on a still black body. Malt, raspberry, cardamom & clove aroma. Medium bodied, no carbonation, super smooth & soft. Sweet berries, cardamom, clove, malt & soy tastes with salty & whisky finish. Amazing.

Közepes, tartós, barna hab, fekete szín. Kakaós, csokis, aszalt gyümölcsös íz, némi whisky-s, vaníliás, fahéjas beütéssel. Csokis, kakaós, kávés, aszalt gyümölcsös ízek, fahéjas, vaníliás, whisky-s hordós aromákkal, a háttérben szegfűszeg és halványan valami, ami valószínűleg a kagylószósz lehet. Sajnos egy határozott alkoholos komponens is érezhetző. Testes, enyhén édeskés, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen kesernyés, amit határozottan a pörkölés ad. Bánatomra az ízen nem igazán harmonizálnak egymással, és azaz alkoholosság sem válik a javára.

Dark brown with a thick head. On the nose, cardamom, clove and roast, but also some sticky oyster sauce accents. On the palate, it's similar. Lots of cardamom, oyster sauce, sticky dark sugars. Full body. It's certainly unique. No real sense of whisky, I guess it was pretty generic. Good times.

Can. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, earthy, salty hints, spicy, soy sauce. Taste: Roasted malt, notes of salty soy / oyster sauce, spicy clove and some cardamom, earth, subtle boozy Whiskey and sweetish vanilla hints. Umami, moderate to over moderate bitterness, light to moderate sweet and salty. Some oak wood at dry-ish and also bit sticky finish. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Finally again a modern BA Stout that's not as sweet as a lot of BA Stouts nowadays. I like the courage of this brewers to brew something different. Nice one, fully enjoying it.

33 cl can poured in to a Snifter. Near black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with soy sauce, umani, cloves, cardamom and whisky barrel notes. Vanilla. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Sweet finish with lingering spiced and umami notes. Odd mixture of ingredients. Somehow it works.

330ml can from the brewery on a mountain bike trip to Innerleithen. Pours pitch black, with a menacing deep tan head. Captivating stout, sweet, spiced with distant whisky echoes.. Impeccably well balanced. Very very good.

Poured from 330mL can (pkg 06/04/21; bb 06/10/22). Very dark brown with very minimal beige head. Clove and cardamom, hint of salty oyster sauce and peat. Odd combo, don't mind it though. Alcohol is hidden, body is slightly thin.
