Bottle 0,5: Starts overwhelming taste of the whiskey malt smell taste, but later the Rauchbier style takes power.

Swing top bottle. Amber color. Peat and smoked bacon in the aroma. Lychee and smoked cheese in the flavor. Just a bit malty and sugary. The smoke is clearly there, but not overwhelming. Doesn’t have very much to do with whisky malt, except for the peat in the nose, but you can smell this beer from a distance and I really like it.

Hazy orange-brown color with hardly any head. Intense peat aroma, burnt wood. Surprisingly fresh, light and sweet on the tongue. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice and interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy smoky aroma. Fruity malty strong smoky flavor. Has a strong smoky finish.

Bottle at Huett’n. Pretty brown-ornge, high pillowy head. Smoky, peaty nose, caramel. Super peaty, way too much for me, lots of bad aid and hospital. Caramel too. Well made, I Suppose, but I really hate it.

Intensives Torfaroma, im Trunk matt, alt, rauchig, torfig, im Abgang Holz, staubig. Nicht mein Fall, seltsames Bier.

Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Big TCP nose, bleh! Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Big TCP with a little detergent thrown in for good measure. Whisper of something fruity before a dry finish. Long TCP linger. Foul!

Bottle shared at chriso’s winter tasting 7/12/2014. Aroma is big smokey tcp medicinal, phenols smoked sausage. Flavour is composed of Base malts, bit stale mlats, medicinal phenols, tcp, tingles on the tongue. Palate is light bodied, moderate carbonation, Not a fan of the big medicinal phenols.

Bottle shared at chriso’s pre-Christmas tasting. Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. Lots of dry smoke in the nose with a bit of burnt plastic. Light sweet flavor with some pale, sugary bread, a bit of peat, motor oil, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with lots of smokey gasoline character, white sugar, hay, straw, pale bread. So so.
