500ml swingtop. Pours copper with a few bits rather than a haze; an inch of dense cream head that fades but doesn’t disappear. Aroma is of vinegar must and sourdough. Light body. Very little carbonation. Light nutty sweetness with touches of bitterness and sourness. New style for me - to me it’s like a lager version of a bottled bitter. Interesting and tasty.

Pours clearer than I expected, pale copper in hue, with an admirably-sized persistent head leaving some lacing.Aroma is mostly German malt: biscuity, bready and slightly toasty notes. Not much else, quite clean. Little in the way of hops, just a slight grassy noble note.Flavours are similarly malt dominated: sweet bready notes with a light bitterness showing later.Moderately high carbonation with a light body - nice.My first beer of this style. Nice, but I would have liked higher hop presence.

Bottle at the train station. Light dull tan. Slight haze. Slightly sulphury, herbal aroma. Herbal bitterness and light cookieish malts. Slight yeast note. Not great, but perfectly drinkable.
