(bottle, as Festbier, 5.8% abv) Clear, golden colour with a thick and slightly cream-coloured foamy head. Sweet strawy malty and doughy aroma with light notes of draff and herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Strawy malty taste with doughy and minimal bready elements; rather dry and strawy malty, slightly hop bitter finish. Classical and decent Festbier (23.VII.09).

Bottle. Pale golden color. Maltaroma with a hint of peach. Malty soft flowery hopbitter flavor. Medium bodied, hints of alcohol. Certainly not too sweet. Fairly well made festbier.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Light spiced and breadish dry malt aroma. Flavour follows this closely and seems like fluid bread on a bottle. Light spiced and with a growing bitterness towards the finish. Ends dry and linger caramel malt which remains from the malt flavours, nicely mixed with a dry bitterness.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Strong aroma. Starts alcoholic and strong, the finish definitely too alcoholic. An average beer.

Small white creamy head over copper body with carbonation. Rubbery aroma. (What’s this? Kulmbacher used to a good brewery!) Taste is smooth, rubbery caramel with a hoppy background. Drinkable, but no more. Really confused about the rubber. Should try another one. (0.5l bottle.)
