This fine pale ale has citrus and tropical fruit aromatic shared with a well-balanced – yet abundant – hop character. It uses our own Belgian yeast, five malts, two hops, and plenty of patience. Finishing touches include dry-hopping with Cascade hops and warm-cellaring.

draft @ OTH. Pours golden, thick white head. Aroma, nice citrus, yeasty, mild tropical nose. Flavors, bitter hops, pale malts, Belgian yeast, touch of roasted malts, grassy hops and possibly hint of malt sweetness that blends perfectly with the Belgian yeast. This is one tasty pale ale, one that I wish more Belgian breweries could brew as savory as the one Ommegang did.

Lively pour - turbid golden body, with a well-sustained, soapy head - aroma of dry, crackery malts, citrus fruits, banana and other more mild phenols, a hint of wheat and toasted grains - carbonation is a little abrasive at first , but as the beer settles in the glass, it becomes much more soft in the mouth, despite how full it is - taste is semi-dry - a light, tropical fruit sweetness quickly makes way for some dry, biscuity malts, spicy/peppery character, fairly strong hop bitterness (for the style), mild belgian phenolic character (some plastic-like quality way in the back) - despite how dry it is, it is lacking a sturdy crispness that you would want in this style - instead, it is a bit "wet," with a body that kind of falls apart by the finish - still, it is decent, but I am sticking with Hennepin - it’s better, and quite a bit cheaper.
