On cask at the Architect, Chester. Appearance - deep amber to red with a nice lacy head. Nose - red fruit, biscuit and gentle toffee. Taste - redcurrant and muesli. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. Nice balanced, dry finish. Overall - nice ale.

From cask at Canalhouse, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, with OGJ 04.01.18. Pale copper. Beige head and lacing. Aroma and taste of crystal malt, caramel and dried berries. Smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at The Hole In Ye Wall. Pours a clear deep amber with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has earthy grains and bread with some light grass underlying. Flavor has earthy dark grains and roasted malts with a bit of biscuit underlying.

Tap @ Canalhouse, Nottingham. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, malt, flowers and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Cask @ Canal House, Nottingham. Clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light nutty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 260717

Cask @ Dockyard, Salford. Dark clear copper with a thin head. Has a raw graininess with malts, and plenty of bitterness.

Dark amber, clear dense white head, some lacing
Aroma of light sweet caramel
Taste of light caramel, soft bitter hops, slight mineral, not much malt, simple bitter, light flavour
Palate - Medium body, light bitter. Finish quite dry, light bitter
Overall - Easy going bitter

Tried at the Golden Eagle, Lincoln. Amber colour with a slight off white head. Malty and a touch of caramel, taste is light malt an sweet.

Half pint, cask at Alexandra Hotel. Mid-brown body colour. Dotted spots to the glass. Smell of brown malts. Malt-fruity taste, toffee, bread and mild dried fruits. Smooth in the mouth. Pretty average (Derby 22.02.2015).

Cask at the Alexandra Hotel, Derby. Mahogany coloured pour with a white head. Red fruit and raisin aroma. Lots of dark fruit and sweet malt in the flavour. Quite tasty.
