Hazy golden pour, huge white head. Loads of banana, and yeast. Honestly i’m having a hard time fiding the difference between this and their regular hefe. I guess its a shade darker.....maybe. The cloves might be a little more pronounced, and its a touch maltier. When i had it on tap i actually thought i had been served the hefe by accident.

Bottiglia.

Aroma of banana, fruits, pepper, spices. Flavour is sweet banana, rather sweet overall but not too much. Finish is spicy and dry. Quite full-flavoured and well-balanced. An exemplary Weizenbock.

Notes from 2/6/2009. I reviewed it. Get off my back. :P Poured into my Erdinger Weiss glass. Half the bottle gets stiff peaks to the rim. Right on par so far. Color is a hazy straw, with just a twinge of orange. Fumey alcohol push up big notions of bubblegum & pineapple, with the banana really lagging behind. The pungent yeast is a little sourdough-ish, holding back a good bit of the expected clove. Mild banana flavor in the beginning, with some lesser apple & plain yogurt ideas following. Assertive clove bitterness down the middle, with doughy dry wheat flavors on the finish. Feel is a bit dusty, but very, very lowly carbonated. It gives it an overall much more liquid feel then a spritzy, floater-filled everyday hefeweizen. Doesn't actually mean I like the feel more( which I don't). Alcohol barely comes into question. How this & Ramstein Winter Wheat are in the same category I have no idea. This is actually pretty similar to their Double Platinum(Ramstein), but minus the big fruity flavors & gorgeous color. An easy substitute in the off season I guess. I guess.
