Bottled. Bronze colour, dense head. Aroma of buttery malt covered in grass. A wealth of sweet buttery malt,dried outby grassy hops. Potent and malt driven,soft and dense. Lingering bitter finish. Excellent bock!

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent mostly lasting head. Amber colour. moderate malty light hoppy aroma. nice but slightly alcoholic. Powerfull bitter flavor with nice notes of licorice. Average finish. Creamy palate. nice beer.

Bottle. Clear medium to dark yellow color with a small fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate metalic.

Small white shiny head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Sweet roasty caramel aroma with marzipan notes. Sweet earthy roasty caramel taste with notes of burnt almonds. Dry straw and grain aftertaste. A good bock, but not as good as the helles. Less of the signature Einbecker flavour. (0.33l bottle.)

Light malty aroma. Hazy light amber color with a vigorous white head that laced a bit. Starts with a caramel malt sweetness. Then the sweetness really takes over. Interestingly enough, as soon as the second wave of sweetness passed, balancing hop appeared. And the caramel (but not the sweet) is right along with the hop. Strange, but decent stuff.

(Bottle) Colour is amber, frothy white head, quickly disappearing. Nose is malty, fruity with dried fruit, toffee and caramel, hints of over ripe apples as well. Taste is malty with dried fruit, cherries and hints of chocolate. Medium to full body, rather sweet (a bit honeyish), ending with a refreshing puff of bitter hops in the finish. Well balanced and nice.

Taster from a green bottle at Binny’s, Orland Park. There are great doppelbocks, and there are the plain old workaday bocks. This one works very well. Light color for its style, with an uncomplicated "beer" smell. Grainy and slightly roasty taste, with slight spiciness. Claims to have been one of the first Bocks, and that’s likely. Good basic spring-time beer.

Pour is a copper with a large white head. Aroma is sweet malts but with a skunkness thanks to the green bottle. Flavor is strong malts but that’s about it. Goes down very thick and cloying. I have been waiting to try this for a long time and all i can say is MEH. Its neither good or bad and it gets some points off for bring $10 a six, thankfully i just bought a single.

A blond bock. Very light carmel aroma, but not really the standard bock aroma. Flavor is a pleasant and unusual combination of sweet malt and bitter hops. Overall this works well. Medium body.

Cookie malt and pleasant herbal hop aroma. Orange amber colouring, off-white blanket head.Solid cookiedough malt base with a good bittering hop balance, some fruity esters and a bit warming alcohol. Solid mouthfeel, slightly oily on the tongue, a bit sticky in the aftertaste.
