Pours a hazy brown colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, fruit, brown sugar. Medium sweetness. Drinkable, but a bit unremarkable.

Bottle. Light amber color, pours a huge head. Just a light flowery aroma with citrusfruit and lychee. Malty sweet, slightly alcoholic very fruity flavor with peach and lychee. Resembles De Genieter.

bottle from Bierkoning - thanks! Chestnut colour, large off-white head. Malty base with hints of honey and herbs, some shy hops in the finish, dusty overall impression.

Bottle 300ml. [ As Hettingabier Hanze Dubbel ].Clear medium to dark amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark pale malt, light to moderate yeasty, light brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt extract, caramelized malt - sugar, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120317]

Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, yeast, earth and some spices. Flavour is lots of malts, some spices and fruits along with alcohol. Quite good balance, but some yeasty notes do their tricks...
