Dark golden, white head. Good lacing. Aroma of crystal malt, biscuits and hay. Well-balanced with good drinkability. Fine hops in aftertaste. A good english bitter.

Cask at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Originally rated 21012012. Colour is clear amber with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, bitterness and malts.

Pours clear light amber, almost no foam. Nose of grassy notes, smoked bacon and malts. Mouth of bitterness, malts, a bit watery but nice feeling of smoked bacon mixed with malty notes. Good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at The Bell Nottingham. Amber colour with creamy white head. Some malt and caramel aroma. Flavour is caramel and hops. Good.

Cask @ Three Tuns, Biddenham. Clear amber pour with a medium white head. Sweet heady aroma of agave nectar and biscuit. Faint hits of toffee, wood shavings and guava. The initial honeyed sweetness belies a tartness in the finish. The aftertaste is a bit unpleasant. This is a fairly basic bitter but overall a good one: intriguing, fairly balanced and moreish.

Cask at the Happy Man, Englefield Green, 09/08/13. Hazed dark golden with a small off white head. Lacing ensues. Nose is orchard fruits, bready malt, light caramel. Taste comprises fruits, light yeast, toasted malts, bread dough, light citrus notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dryish finish with a touch of bitterness. So so.
