On nitro tap at Le Cheval Blanc, pours black with a thick, creamy light brown head. Nose brings out dry, hearty oats, and dry cocoa. Flavour is creamy, with bone dry cocoa and earthy, hearty oats. Nice bitter finish that retains its heartiness. Well-made for the boring style it is.

A deep dark stout with a thick frothy nitro brown head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, light nutty notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet silky chocolate malt with light coffee notes, grassy hops, nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

On tap at the brewpub. Stout 4% nitro tap A fantastic looking nitro pour, pitch black with ruby highlights along the edges of the glass and a solid thick creamy beige head. Guiness eat your heart out. Roasty oatmeal, chocolate and coffee beans in the nose - mouthwatering. Incredibly creamy mouthfeel but the body is medium-thin verging on watery. The taste is toasty black coffee with some chocolate or hit coco notes. A clean simple stout with the nitro making it a bit more special - good.
