Angelus Blonde is made from barley malt and 30% wheat, and reveals a citrus scent that has been known for over 40 years. It is characterized by its three fermentations. A main one, during cellaring and again on the bottle.

Bottled 750ml. -Hazy golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, pleasant fresh spicy nose. Yeasty, dryish fruity and very spicy taste with hint of wood. Sweet spicy and slightly sticky finish. Nothing special here.

Hazy gold beer. Softish palate with a carbonated bite. Deep creamy malt with a wheaty edge but there is no wheaty fruit. Soft almost syrupy malt ending. Nice!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light golden pour with a white head. Rich orchard fruit nose. Plenty of apple and pear in there. A bit of pineapple and banana in there too. Flavours of pear, peach, tropical fruit, pineapple and ginger. Nice, sweet taste. Pleasant.

33 cl bottle. Pale gold with a high, fine head. Spicy, malty, creamy aroma. Fruity, with strawberry and melon, and some butter. Sweet, buttery flavor, lots of esters, bit malt, coconut? Something tropical. Spicey, with a decently bitter finish, but too creamy and buttery. Nice enough hops, though.

Finally another Bière de Garde stocked at a local supermarket - I swear if these French people would just up the distribution they could get some better visibility, but then again, maybe they don’t want that. Pours beautiful yellow with huge head. Aroma is hops, corn, grass, alcohol. Taste is kind of a grassy-syrup, malty and caramel. Not on the top of my list.

Bottle, 7%. Fast gusher. Fruity aroma. Hazy golden colour. Nice stable white head. Creamy flavour, some malt and a little flowery hops. A bit too creamy, almost milky flavour. Low bitterness.
