Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma of malt, some fruitiness and spicy hops notes. Flavor starts sweetish and continues drier with a bit of hops. Rather light-bodied.

0.55 l bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks! It poured golden body with medium sized head. Biscuit and orange malty aroma. Fine biscuit and bitterish herbal flavor, not too screaming, more calmly accented and pleasant. Though it’s medium to thinner in body, for a bitter is actually quite full. Slightly acidic hops in finish. Quite decent one.

Bottle from Kuca Piva, Zagreb. Golden body, medium white head. Sourish herbal nose, light malty background. Initially unimpressive, later nicely developed vaguely perfumey, apricotty maltiness kept down by a crappy acidic hopiness that’s thankfully not omnipresent. Not bad in the end.

Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a small white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was lightly yeasty with a prominent note of butterscotch. The flavor was faint citrus with notes of bread and butterscotch. Short finish. Medium body. Not impressive.

355 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Lagerish aroma, notes of grassy, herbal and fruity hops. The flavour is rather sweet, fruity and grassy, with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Lagerish mouthfeel. Drinkable, but did not blow my socks off.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a good head. The nose has faint raisiny/grapefruity hops but generally a sweet malt profile. The taste has more of the same - almost honey malt with some raisins and the hop aspect of the character culminates in something that resembles oranges with pine in the background. The palate has richness of structure, good texture and though the finish is not quenching it drops away enough to make me want to drink more. Overall, this one sneaked up on me - seemed to start a bit ordinary but I’m completely happy that I could drink 6. Thanks SS for making bitter interesting rsther than wishy-washy.

500ml bottle from the Sourced Market at St Pancras station. Clear golden, spotty lacing, low, bubbly white head. Modest smell of leafy hops. A bit jam-like taste profile with spices. Rounded bitter tail. Ok (shared with friends, hotel room, London 20.03.2011).

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly grainy malty aroma with a tinge of citrus and pears, accompanied by floral notes. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly buttery and grainy malt-character with a fruity touch; slightly sweet and fruity finish with buttery malt and notes of woody hops in the aftertaste. Not particularly exciting but quite balanced though. 10.III.11
