On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal head. Chocolate and malts in the aroma, but only weakly. Texture in the mouth is creamy. Flavour starts out as roast malts and oats, but blater on chocolate and coffee start to come through, along with hints of liquorice. Finish is slightly bitter. A decent enough stout, but not outstanding.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Wine Rack, West Byfleet.

Gravity at Bree Louise. Black with almost no head. Aroma is a bit liquourice, smoky bacon and coffee. Taste is malty, smoky and more coffee, with a bit of booze. Quite oaty. Quit thick in the mouth. Very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stout on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Pitch black and no head. Coffee and caramel aroma. Roasted malt flavor with caramel, coffee, licorice and apple. Thin and a bit watery, but still a nice beer that goes down easily.
