Pale Ale - Classic English Regular|

Typical English ale, characterised by the amber colour, delicate bitterness and the full malt body. Carefully selected hops lend the beer the aroma of resin, roses, grapefruit peel, and gooseberry traces. An intense, bitter opening gradually changes after sipping, and leaves behind a drier malt flavour with notes of caramel and dried fruit. The beer experience is completed by the dark amber to garnet colour and the fine silk foam.

Bottle. Dry, earthy hop aroma with caramel, light fruits. Caramel, raisins, and grassy hops in the mouth. Like a polotmavy with English hops (Fuggles?) Decent but rather dull. Not a bad try, but go for the Norbert IPA if you want a Czech ale!

500ml bottle. Clear amber; almost still beneath a beige head. Aroma has butterscotch and fruity hops. Taste has sweet buttered toffee and some pears with gentle spicy bitterness. OK, but the malt sweetness is wearingly insistent halfway down the glass and although the taste is quite like a bitter, the texture is rather lifeless even for a bottled bitter.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Hoppy aroma with tea, hints of grapefruit and a herbal element. Hoppy and slightly sweet taste with tea, grapefruit and malt. The finish is hoppy, nutty and moderately bitter. Fairly impressive and worth applauding a Czech brewer for producing a beer like this.

33cl bottle; Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white frothy layer. Discreet aroma of sweet malt with shy notes of caramel, hints of liquorice and slightly herbal and metallic hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Slightly fruity malty taste with notes of caramel and liquorice; moderately dry and quite slim finish with a slightly flowery hoppy blend. 08.IV.07
