Typical English ale, characterised by the amber colour, delicate bitterness and the full malt body. Carefully selected hops lend the beer the aroma of resin, roses, grapefruit peel, and gooseberry traces. An intense, bitter opening gradually changes after sipping, and leaves behind a drier malt flavour with notes of caramel and dried fruit. The beer experience is completed by the dark amber to garnet colour and the fine silk foam.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Some citrusy hints in the aroma, with biscuity, caramel maltyness. A bit heavy on the caramel, biscuits and lightly roasted maltyness in the flavor I think, but certainly quaffable. Some bitterness, as well as citrus peel and resins. A light grassyness too. Meedium bitterness. Bitter finish with a touch of maltyness. A quite pleasant one, easy drinkable. 120804

Bottle from Különleges sörök boltja, Budapest, Hungary. Kellemes meglepetés a náchodi főzdétől.

(Draught at Milenka, 20120306) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had butter, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, butter, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was buttery, malty and bitter. Technically this may be an ale but all the scents and flavours are the ones of a Czech lager and not a good one.
