Bottle at home. Maybe it could have been cooled a bit more, but it was still one of the better golden ales that I have had in my life. Very smooth, lots of flavour and just plain old tasty.

Cask half at Wyndham Arms, Salisbury, Pours clear golden with a white cap. Aroma: sweet malts, light citrus, straw. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, pale malts, light lemon zest, straw. Light body with moderate carbonation. OK but not memorable.

Cask at Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield. Pours a pale lemon yellow with minimal white head. A faint aroma of straw in the nose. In the mouth the initial taste is of floral hops and citrus ( plus hints of lime) before malts kick in, and it becomes sweetish and slightly fruity. Finish is sweet and cloying. Pleasant enough but a bit strange.

18/7/2019. Bottle shared at the South West tour bottle share. Bought at Darts Farm near Topsham, Devon. Pours clear pale gold with a large white head and unavoidable yeast sediment lumps even from first from pour. Aroma of sweet malt, light citrus, grass, lemongrass and a hint of herbs and spices. Medium plus sweetness with light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at Swan, Farnborough. Low key floral aroma. Light gold. Creamy white head, with a thin middle. Light bitter with underlying sweetness. Thin bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. Perfectly pleasant. Refreshing. Verging on a lager.

0.5l bottle. A crystal clear looking one with a pale golden color and a huge really lacing and lasting bright white head. It smells kinda skunks and slightly sun damages in the aroma. Grainy also. A tad harsh with wet dog and some vegetables. It's not super unpleasant but definitely not a gentle or elegant aroma. aroma. Tastes a bit better. Easy to drink with a good amount of hop bitterness. Thin oily in the mouth and it has a below average small bubbled carbonation level. Something dry-ish also here. Soft melon and mild citrus. Was not happy with the aroma but it tastes quite decent for what it actually is. 05.07.2014
