Can from the Shazteen Enterprise, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a fizzy, short-lived white head and lots of bubbles. The is sweet sickly toffee and alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet with a big sugary, heart-warning alcoholic palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

One of the four strong lagers sold in 50 cl cans under the Atlas brand. Pours a deep ’old gold’ colour, cristal clear with medium fizz, under a cream white, regular but quickly thinning head, leaving not much more than a very thin rim after a while. Smells initially very sweet, cane sugar, melon ’jenever’, banana liqueur, corn, but when warming up, the nail polish remover, rotting grains, low quality bourbon, damp cloth, sulphur, sewer water and the unmistakable, unpleasant and badly hidden odour of pasteurization attack the nose. Taste begins equally sugary, honeyish, somewhat cloying, with sharp, minerally, spritzy carbonation, pale malt sweetness in the background, low hop bitterness in the finish; sweetish, ’industrial’, wodka-like alcohol and a wry chemical effect dominate the whole palate, drying and astringent and even somewhat burning at first, absolutely unpleasant. I was after beer, not liquor, and even if this had a liquor equivalent, it would probably be cheap moonshine. Nothing redeeming here: this is exactly the type of beer anyone who has a heart for the beverage, should avoid at all time. This is very clearly aimed at indiscriminating alcoholics, cheap rubbish. Even in its own inferior style, this doesn’t score high. Should perhaps be classified as a malt liquor here. InBev at its worst.

Clear golden with very fast disappearing white head. Corn, honey, strong taste of alcohol. Wort. Very sweet with alcohol burn finish. Disgusting, couldn't take more than a few sips.
