Bouteille. A thick oily black and brown coloration. almost no head. Malts and some dark fruits to taste. A bit sour or maybe I’m having a bad bottle. OK not amazing.

Dark brown off the nitro pour. Thick head. Mild chocolate, nutty, and it’s quite sweet. A bit of coffee but the nitrogen neuters this.

bomber from the cheese man! thanks!

typical RIS pour, very black, nice tan head. Aroma is ALL roasted malt, some smoke, and a touch of dark roasted soy sauce. Flavour is super roasty, with touches of coffee, chocolate, and lots of roasty smokiness. NOt a bad impy at all, i love how roasty it is, and you dont get smacked over the head with hops.

Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some toasted, mild roasted and ripe fruity notes with some fudge to it. Flavour has pretty much the same elements as the aroma in a very smooth way.

Bomber from Hops and Bottles. Black body, small head disappears. Aroma is roasted malts and light chocolate. More roast in the taste, ashy bitterness. Hint of sweetness.

Tnx Sigmund!

2015 bottle. Almost back with a tan head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of mocha (maybe a hint of roasted malt, but really mocha), licorice, prunes, vanilla. Sweet and rich with a surprising earthy touch. Some nice dried fruit before a finish that’s at first just bitter enough to tidy up the sweetness. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Bitterness creeps up a fair bit. Pleasant enough, if a little jumbled.

I’ve had this a couple of times now and the second time I didn’t like it as much. Its almost good but there’re a couple of offl flavors that just clash.
