When we make our annual pilgrimage to the hop-growing hotbed of Yakima Valley, we're like kids in a candy store. We eyeball the hops on the lines, crush them in our hands and rub them til their oil fill the air. LolliHop brings together three of our favorites. Dry-hopping with Citra and Mosaic layers in notes of orange, grapefruit, and melon, while Azacca in the kettle adds hints of papaya and pineapple. Locally harvested rustic pale malt provides the backbone, and wheat and oats make this beer silky smooth with a touch of haze.
We Taste: pear, citrus, hint of melon

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: bright yellow semi-haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pears, lemon, melon and grapefruity hop tones; clean malts underneath
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a nice bittersweet quality; finishes semi-lemony and melony with a pinch of dryness
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some dryness
Overall: nicely done dry hopped DIPA worthy of coming back to.

Another DIPA I got in my last haul from Half Time. A 12 oz can, opened now and being tilted into a tulip glass. Clear pale gold in color and a minimal skim of solid white foam covers. I get a decent sniff of pine, citrus, grass and something slightly sweet. A drink follows, rather decent I believe. Lemon, malt, grapefruit, touches of melon and pineapple, cereal and meadow. A dry sensation and the bitterness is welcome. I’d certainly drink one again if I could find it.

Drinks a little sharper than the Graffiti Highway, but quite a nice hop profile.

Can, hazy golden pale eye. Hoppy perfumed nose, maybe a little unbathed BO in there on the olfactory. First taste impression is that of drinking diesel light. Yes its quite hoppy bitter. however, its not as mouthcoating or viscous as most double IPA I've done. Honestly this is over 8% but it comes across quite normally as a regular old IPA. Even tho its says double on the label, I bet shit & shinola that this is actually a simple IPA. Yea, I don't care for IPA and double impy IPA just comes across as bullshit to me, this is almost as drinkable as a simple terribly on style IPA. To say the least, this tasting is quite interesting. On the finish, there is no warming sensation, like you would experince with most impy IPAs.

Pine and tangerine. Nice balance on this DIPA and comes together well. Clear golden pour with decent head. Bitter finish with a hint of citrus. Tap at Oscar's West.

16oz can. The rare non hazy IIPA. Rather mellow ABV for the style. I get more lemon lime bitterness with the hops, nothing really soft or expressive. Drinkable. OK.
